Obituary for William Lyall
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William John (Bill) Lyall on May 20, 2021 at the age of 81. With his children at his side, Bill took his last breath and was ushered into the presence of his Lord and Savior with peace, dignity, and love. Bill was a devoted and loving husband to the late Rosemary for over 35 years, a caring father to Bradley (Karen), Sarah, and Peter (Angela), and cherished Grandad to Paige, Grace, Kate, John, and Pippa. He loved his sisters Lillian and Pat (Don), and his late twin brother George, whom he missed so deeply right up to the end. He is predeceased by his parents Bill and Edith, brother-in-law Jack and sister-in-law Louise. He will also be missed by his extended family of nieces, nephews and friends who loved him deeply. Bill was a long-time member of Central Presbyterian Church in Hamilton and served the congregation faithfully for over 55 years. He dedicated his career to healthcare, retiring from St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton as the Director of Human Resources. Due to COVID restrictions, the family will hold a private service and interment when larger gatherings are permitted. For those who wish to attend virtually, the service will be live streamed through the Central Presbyterian Church YouTube Chanel. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his name to Central Presbyterian Church or the Canadian Cancer Society. 2 Timothy 4:6-8
