SUTHERLAND, William James “Bill” – Peacefully on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Royal Terrace Long Term Care, Palmerston in his 81st year. Loving husband of Donna Sutherland. Devoted father of Stephanie Sutherland, Cameron Sutherland (Lori Koebel), and Courtney (Ryan) Allen and step-father of Anthony Verdecchia, and Derek Verdecchia (Stacey Laughlin). Cherished grandfather of Taylor, Eva, Emry, Pria, Finley, Mackinnon and Sawyer. Dear brother of Eleanor (Hilton) Lyons and brother-in-law of Sandra (Bob) Vancoughnett, Beverley (Brian) LaMarche, Connie (Andre) Brule, Janis Robidoux (Peter Morgan), Richard (Darlene) Morley, Vicki (Rusty) MacDonald and Steven (Diana) Morley. Special cousin of Donnie and David Scott, and cherished uncle of Scott and Todd Lyons. Bill was loyal to his lifelong friends. His passion for hockey, music and motorcycles will be present with all who knew him. Go Leafs go! In keeping with Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private interment will occur at Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Toronto. The family would like to thank Royal Terrace for their care and compassion. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the Ontario Brain Injury Association or the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance.
