“King” as he was lovingly referred to by family and friends met and married his one true love in 1964. Together they had six children who often throughout his life drew from his strength and determination. He had the best outlook on life and saw positive in everything and everyone – even during his illness. He spent the majority of his teaching career as principal of L R Ash in Lethbridge and retired at the age of 47. Many of his students continued to stay in touch with him over the years and still referred to him as Mr. King. Retirement was not a part of his vocabulary so he pursued a pastime as an insurance agent where he spent many hours driving around the Island with his wife by his side. In 2013 they finally retired and moved to Thorburn Lake where he enjoyed the outdoors and many family gatherings. In January 2020 they moved to Clarenville where he continued to enjoy family and friends.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of William Dorman King
