William’s Obituary
After a protracted battle with cancer Willam David Bourne, of Highlands St. Fintan’s peacefully passed away at the age of 71 on March 23, 2021.
Billy was born in Pools Island on June 17th 1949 to father Henry Bourne and mother Ethel Bourne. He grew up in a loving family with one brother Jack Bourne and four sisters Violet Bourne, Ethel Spurrell, Mildred Mackay, and Myrtle Spurrell.
He is survived by: his sisters Myrtle Spurrell and Mildred Mackay; his daughters Joanne and Christina Bourne; and his extended family: Robert Anderson, Justine Anderson, Jade Chaffey, and William Anderson.
Billy was best known as a longhaul truck driver by all his family and friends, he spent his life on the road and met many friends who he kept in contact with until the end. Billy was loved by so many, he had a heart of gold, he would do without himself to help anyone. He will be missed by many.
At Bills request cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.
