William “Bill” Martin
1940-2021
William “Bill” Martin of Tobique Narrows, NB, passed away
unexpectedly at his home on December 7, 2021.
Bill was born in Ste-Anne-de-Madawaska, NB, on March 1, 1940. He was
the son of the late Louis Phillip and Laurette (Gagnon) Martin. Bill
leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, Shirley Martin (Elliott);
his daughters, Wanda Pelkey (Larry) of Moncton, NB, Lisa Smith (Derek
MacDougall) of Tobique Narrows, NB; his son, Jason Martin of Tobique
Narrows, NB; his grandchildren, Allison Pelkey, Bradley Pelkey,
Chandler Smith, and Skylar Martin; his great grandchildren, Adrian
Pelkey, Zach Pelkey, Ashton Pelkey, and Madison Pelkey; his sisters,
Victorine Martin (Hal O’Neal) of Aroostook, NB, and Georgianne Lunn
(Clinton) of Beechwood, NB; his brother, Narcisse Martin of New
Denmark, NB.
Bill was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Henry Martin; his
sisters-in-law, Marita and Theresa Martin.
Bill was a former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Council #
6414.
Respecting Bill’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial
service celebrating Bill’s life will be held on Friday, December 10,
2021 at 2 pm from St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. Father
Gilbert Doddatto celebrating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery
at a later date.
All people aged 12 and up will be required to show their record of
immunization or medical exemption certificate and a government issued
identification to be able to attend the funeral service. Masks are
also mandatory.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the NB Heart and Stroke
Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
