William James “Bill” Kennedy of Tofield, Alberta passed away peacefully on January 9, 2021 at the age of 78 years.
Bill was born on February 20, 1942 to Robert and Mary Kennedy and was the youngest of five siblings. He attended Tofield School and afterwards worked for the Town of Tofield as caretaker of the cemetery for many years. In his spare time, he kept a garden that thrived under his meticulous green thumb, enjoyed watching baseball and spent time reading the Bible. Bill was a quiet and kind soul, always happy and always ready to help out however he could.
Bill will be sadly missed and remembered by his sisters, Marjorie Dafoe and Elsie Langerak, brothers Gordon (Leola) and twin brother Robert; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Mary Kennedy and his brothers-in-law, Bill Langerak and Earl Dafoe.
The family would like to give their sincere thank you to the staff at the Tofield Seniors Lodge and Tofield Long Term Care for taking care of Bill over the years.
Due to Covid19 restrictions no funeral services will be held. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to the Tofield and Area Health Foundation – Long Term Care
