William Bill Canning July 8th 2021

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we share the passing of William (Bill) Canning of Regina, SK on July 8, 2021 at the age of 85.
Bill was predeceased by his wife Donna, his brother Del, his sister Joanne, and his grandson Wayne (Balmer). Bill will be dearly missed by his daughters Janet and Tracy and sons Terry (Kim), Vince (Jodie), and Mike (Maureen); his grandchildren Phillip Balmer, Kari Deter, Stevie Charmers, Tyson (Breanna), Taylor and Jordan Canning, Brooke Garcia (Rafa), Monique and Cael Mattia, James Kennedy (Lydia), Shana (Mitch) Adams, and Karsten (Hailey) Kennedy; as well as his great-grandchildren Brixtyn, Aviara, Hudson, Grace, Malakai, and Elsie.
Bill was known for his generosity and genuine care for others. Bill’s career included being vice chairman of the Labour Relations Board of Alberta. He loved to watch sports be that hockey, football, golf, or wrestling back in the day. For many years Bill was an avid golfer and then switched to the pickle ball field. He took pleasure in social events to connect with others. One of Bill’s pleasures in life was a good meal, ending with a few pieces of a Caramilk bar. He was an active community member giving of his time and talents over the years to the Shriners and being part of many boards. Bill loved big and we are forever thankful for all he has taught us through his modeling.
A special thank you to the staff at College Park 2, Regina, SK and the hospital staff at Unit 4B Palliative Care, Regina Pasqua Hospital for their care and attention they provided.
Private family service will be held.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of William Bill Canning July 8th 2021..
