Willard Weagle
1928-2021
Willard
Robinson Weagle, 92, of Middlewood, Nova Scotia passed away suddenly
at South Shore Regional Hospital on January 17, 2021 with family by
his side.
Born in Middlewood on July 11,
1928, he was the only son of the late Frank and Beatrice (Naas)
Weagle. He is survived by his wife Shirley (nee Stevens), daughter and
son-in-law Kathi (Andre) Benard, son and daughter-in-law Clay (Karen),
son and daughter-in-law Dave (Stephanie) and their kids Jay, Gabbie
and Bella, daughter and son-in-law Maria (Richard) Wambolt and their
son Nick, sisters Marion Whynacht and Emily Croft, and many nieces and
nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Grace, Julia
Johnson, and Shirley Gerhardt.
Willie was a
devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed a great
retirement after working 37 years with Maritime Tel &
Tel. He was a lifelong member of Calvary Lutheran Church,
Middlewood and a volunteer firefighter. Willie had a big smile with a
twinkle in his eyes. He would get involved in whatever was going on;
always ready to lend a helping hand. Willie spent his free
time on his farm, working with cattle or out in the woods.
There was always time on Saturday nights for country music or a hockey
game, but, especially, he loved family get-togethers and a good
story.
The family would like to thank
the staff of South Shore Regional Hospital ER, and EHS paramedics for
their care and concern.
Memorial donations may be made
to the Calvary Lutheran Church, or the Italy Cross/Middlewood and
District Fire Department.
Graveside
service will be held 1:00pm on Saturday January 23, 2021 in Calvary
Lutheran Cemetery, Middlewood, Reverend Willis Ott
officiating.
