Wilhamien “Winkie” Evelyn Toman, of Stratford, born August 24, 1937, passed away peacefully at the Stratford Rotary Hospice on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the age of 83.
Born in Cochrane, ON., daughter of the late William John Breen and former Nora Evelyn White. Beloved mother of Donna Lee Scott (Ron), Brent Toman (Luanne), Reginald Toman and Steven Toman (Pam). Survived by her siblings George Breen, Beth Clutchey, Patrick Major, Patricia Crewe, Nora Dupuis and Don Major. Dear grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Predeceased by husband Donald (Toby) Toman, brother John Major and granddaughter Lacey Lee Scott.
“Winkie” was an avid reader; famous for her wonderful stories and enjoyed music, cooking, sewing and knitting. She had an amazing sense of humor that she kept right to the end.
As per her wishes, there will be no formal public funeral service. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.
