Obituary of Wilfred “Toots” Weiss
Wilfred Edward “Toots” Weiss (WWII) of Teeswater, passed away at Wingham & District Hospital on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2020, in his 97th year.
Beloved husband for 66 years to Blanche Weiss (née Weiler) who predeceased him on March 22, 2020.
Toots will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Peter, Patricia, Paulette, Ann, Jacqueline, Connie, Todd, Richie, Kelly and their families along with several great-nieces and nephews.
Dear brother-in-law of Lorraine Voisin, Joe Weiler and Art Weiler (Barbara).
Predeceased by his parents Izzy and Louise (née Rettinger) Weiss, brother Michael Weiss (Catherine), infant sister Lou Jean Weiss and in-laws Nicholas Voisin and Patricia Weiler.
The Weiss family would like to offer a special thank you to his dear friends, Dana McGlynn, Dave Sell and Dorla Cassidy for their kindness and support.
A memorial mass for Toots and Blanche will be celebrated on Saturday, November 6th, 2021 at 12 noon from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Teeswater, with Father Paul Edmondstone officiating. Proof of vaccination is not required to attend the mass.
Reception to follow at the Teeswater Community Centre. Proof of vaccination is required to attend the reception.
Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
