Passed away on Monday October 25 2021 at Chartwell Westmount Long Term Care at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Elise for 58 years. Loving father of Michael Stanley (wife Ruth) and Ronald Stanley (deceased) wife Lisa. Cherished grandpa (pépère) of Emilie and Josiah. Predeceased by sisters Shirley and Patricia. Member of Local 527 plumbing and steamfitters and WRPS (police department). Loved by family and friends. Fishing and helping others was his passion. His long fight with dementia is over and he is now united with Jesus and his son Ron.
Cremation has taken place and a private Christian service will be held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home on November 22nd. The family is forever grateful for the care and compassion given to him from the nurses and PSW’s.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Elora Road Christian Fellowship with Elora House as the memo (a safe haven for women) would be appreciated by the family. Cards available at the funeral home or donations online.
