Obituary of Wenda Coley

Wenda Beth Coley (nee Gilman), 80, of Saskatoon SK, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 9, 2021. Wenda was born December 1, 1940 in Gladstone MB to Catherine and Lloyd Gilman. Her many passions included bridge and golf. She shot two holes in one, was the provincial and national course rating chairperson and the CLGA national director of rules. She was also inducted into the Saskatchewan Golf Hall of Fame. Wenda previously served as the Director of the McClure Place Association. Wenda is survived by her husband Doug, her sons Geoff (Brenda), Bruce (Lisa), her grandchildren Alexander, Emma and Connor, her sister Rhea Carlson and niece Tracy O’Rourke. Wenda was predeceased by her parents Catherine and Lloyd Gilman, and her nephew Brett Carlson.
Wenda`s Memorial will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 1:30 pm. Regrettably, due to COVID restrictions, attendance at the service will be by invitation only. The Memorial Service will be live streamed and all are encouraged to join through using the link on Wenda’s Tribute/obituary page at www.saskatoonfuneralhome.com where condolences may also be left for the family . The family extends their deepest gratitude to her doctors, the Saskatoon Cancer Clinic, Palliative Home Care Nurses, Home Care Services, and the many friends who visited and supported her and her family.

Keith and Marianne Rever – We are golfers in our own right and are really thankful for people like Wenda who worked so long and loved the game to keep it honorable. She really was amazing and the golf world loses a very fine person.
