Obituary of Wayne Joseph O’Neil
O’NEIL, Wayne Joseph, Passed away peacefully on September 29, 2021 at the age of 73 with his loving family by his side. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Evelyn O’Neil. Beloved husband of Carol for 52 years. Loving father of Anne-Marie Prieur (Mike), Gregory O’Neil (Amie) and Jeremy O’Neil (Staci). Cherished grandfather of Dylan and Reece Prieur and Jaidyn O’Neil. Dear brother of Gail Brindley (the late Ken), Linda Neuert (Chuck), Walter O’Neil (Rose), Wesley O’Neil (Maureen), Janice O’Neil (Boris), Jackie O’Neil (Brad), Jeffrey O’Neil, Joyce St. Louis (Alex), Warren O’Neil and Jason O’Neil (Dana). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses that assisted Wayne over the past five years. Wayne followed in his father and grandfather’s footsteps with a love and passion for farming. He farmed his entire life and was dedicated to sharing his knowledge and skills to his sons and brothers. Wayne was a loving family man and took pride in his children and grandchildren. Wayne’s strength and determination over the past five years was an inspiration. He continued to show his love and never let his illness interfere with his family and farming. Visitation at Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road East, 519-253-7234 on Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. A private funeral service will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021 in the chapel. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Maidstone. Masks must be worn while in the funeral home and at the cemetery.
