Wayne Gerald “Gerry” Barrie
October 22, 1960 – December 23, 2021
It is with heavy hearts the family of Gerald Barrie announces his passing at Victoria Hospital in London on December 23, 2021 at the age of 61. Devoted husband of Margaret Ann Barrie for 36 wonderful years. Loving father to Garrett and Justin Barrie. Cherished brother to Angelia (Jack) Johnson, Debbie (Alexander) Davenport, Brendia (Rudy) Pierce, Terry (Shannon) Barrie and Carolyn (Stacy) Martin. Dear brother-in-law to Janet (John) Rubini, Mike (Sherry) Holloway, Lynda (Kevin) Armstrong, Diane (Tom) Cleator and Cheryl (Nick) Ferraro. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Evelyn Barrie and in-laws Peter and Joy Holloway. Animal lover to Abi and Eve. Gerry will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Gerry was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Gerry was a prominent member and colleague at The Real Canadian Superstore in Strathroy for over 40 years. He will be dearly missed by his work family. He was an ever-hopeful Toronto Maple Leaf fan and an avid history buff.
As per Gerry’s wishes cremation has taken place and as per Gerry’s request there will be no funeral at this time. As an expression of sympathy donations to the LHSC-Children’s Hospital or to the SickKids Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
