Obituary
MILLER, Michael Wayne
On Friday September 17, 2021 we lost Wayne Miller, the loving patriarch of our family, far too soon. He was tragically taken from us.
He leaves behind a son Michael (Lynda) and granddaughter Jessica, a daughter Kristin (Geoff) and grandson Nate. Brother Randy (Lynda) and nieces Meagan and Samantha. Brother Jim and nephew Corey.
He was predeceased by his wife Dianne and brothers Greg and Doug.
Our father loved nothing more than his family. He was a well-known, long-time local teacher, who invested much of his time supporting school trips and coaching most of the school’s teams. He volunteered his time in retirement, continuing to coach at Flamborough Centre and teaching English as a Second Language. He was an avid camper, who loved the outdoors and made the effort to go for hikes and walk as often as possible. He will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.
We would like to thank those who found him, called 911 and performed CPR until the first responders arrived. We’d also like to thank the first responders and the staff of the Hamilton General for their efforts to save him.
Please visit The Tribute Wall for a collage of photos (to be added) and to leave your condolences and memories. There will be private family gathering at a later date.
We ask that in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the YMCA Strong Kids Program (Hamilton, Burlington and Brantford) or the Food for Kids Hamilton program.
Papa, you were the best and most loving man, we miss you, will always love you and remember you fondly. May now you rest peacefully beside your wife Dianne.
