Wayne Hilyard Tingley
1938-2021
Wayne Hilyard Tingley, 83, of Forest Dale Home and formerly
of Germantown passed away peacefully on
December 8th, 2021 at the Forest Dale Home.
Wayne was born in Germantown on February 10, 1938 the son
of the late Ewart and Stella (Doherty) Tingley.
Wayne was a self-employed woodsman. He worked in
the woods all his life, he enjoyed being outdoors and loved the fresh
air. He grew up and stayed at the homestead
helping look after his parents and his brother.
Wayne loved talking to people and always knew what was
going on in the community. He would keep up on all the local
news and if he saw you, he would likely chat for a while to find out
how things were going in your life. He had a great laugh and
liked joking around as well. His good friends George
Shannon, Claude Porter and Jeff Tower had many good times together
over the years. He loved Albert County and enjoyed
his drives through the back roads. “I hope that you
will be there to wish me on my way, it’s not a
journey you can join in, it’s not your time today.
There’ll be many destinations, some are happy, some are sad,
each one a brief reminder of the great times that we’ve
had. ”
He will be deeply missed by his brother, Cyril Tingley
(Mary) of Harvey; sisters, Mabel Hoar of Riverview, Dorothy Dixon of
Hillsborough, Gloria Enman of Halifax, Luella Armstrong of London, ON
and Ruth Dornan of Moncton. He will also be missed by
several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by an infant
brother, Ivan; brother, Peter Tingley; brothers-in-law, Jack Enman,
James Dixon, Lavern Armstrong and Donald Hoar.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Albert County
Funeral Home on Saturday, December 11th, 2021 at 2:00pm with Pastor
Paul Steeves officiating. There will be a time of visitation
from 1:00pm until the time of service at 2:00pm. Interment
will be in the Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, NB.
Proof of Double Vaccination and masks are required to
attend.
Family flowers only please. For those who wish donations to
the Salvation Army or Forest Dale Home Foundation would be greatly
appreciated.
