WARNER – Richard A., 68, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville on Sunday, April 4, 2021.
Born in Yarmouth, Richard was a son of the late Karl Warner and Jean (Peach)(Warner)Oickle.
Richard studied Diesel Mechanics at Community College and worked for Bowater Mersey in Tantallon, Steel and Engine Products Limited (STENPRO) in Liverpool, The Canadian Coast Guard and finally with Seaboard Diesel in Dartmouth. In his younger years, Richard enjoyed the outdoors; nature watching, hunting and fishing and in later years gardening. He was an avid watcher of “Gold Rush” and “The Curse of Oak Island” among many other TV shows. Richard was always eager to share “some interesting fact” which you probably never realized you would need. Richard loved to spend time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Diane (Whynot); his sons Matthew (Rachel Oickle) of Pleasantville; Jason of Halifax; Wayne (Kaylee) Oickle of Hunts Point; Richard Mansfield (Makayla Langley) of Western Head. His daughters Kayla Mansfield-Brown (Kevin Brown) of New Minas; Rachel Oickle (Matthew Warner) of Pleasantville; 13 grandchildren and one great grandson. His sisters Cindy, Sally (Gregory) Trefry and Debra (Calvin) Boudreau, all of Yarmouth and Judith (Norbert) Cormier of Memramcook, NB. His brothers Karl of Karlsdale, NS; William and Robert, both of Yarmouth. His step mother Mary Serita Warner of Yarmouth. Many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool where a funeral service will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Reverend Cherry Workman officiating. No flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
