Wanda’s Obituary
It is with great sadness to mourn the passing of Wanda Sklapsky; who passed away on April 18, 2021 in Peace River, Alberta at the age of 57 years.
Wanda was employed at the Peace River Outreach Campus as a Day Care worker. She was also fully involved in her church. Her love of the Lord and her family was her whole life. She also loved spending time with her friends.
She enjoyed camping and gardening. Cooking and baking were another passion as she had opened a Ukrainian Food take out in Grimshaw.
Wanda is survived by her husband Carey of 21 years; daughter, Amy (Adam) with their only grandson, Austin; son, Aaron (Mary); son, Landon (Chloe); daughter, Shana. She is also survived by her parents, Charlie and Mary Szmata; brother, Ken (Rachel) Szmata; sister, Debbie (Terry) Sadd; sister, Pauline (Rick) Bentley; brother, Ed Szmata; brother, David (Corinne) Szmata and sister, Tannis (Rod) Coen.
A Private Family Service is being planned for a later date.
If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Peace River Alliance Church Building Fund or to the Riverside Bible camp as expressions of sympathy.
