Obituary for
Walter H. Pierce
It is with great sadness that the family of Walter H. Pierce announces his passing at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Center at Harbour Breton on Saturday, June 12, 2021, age 80 years of Harbour Breton.
Walter leaves to mourn his loving family: wife, Ida, married 54 years; daughters, Daphne (George Stoodley) and Denise, all at Harbour Breton; special nephew (like a son), Larry Pierce (Juanita) at Alberta; special brother in law, Thomas Evans at Harbour Breton; brother in law, Jacob Simms; sister in law, Effie Pierce; grandchildren, Craig, Dimitri and Grant; great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Rosalie, Harrison and Noah; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Walter was predeceased by his brothers, William, Norman and George Pierce; sisters, Blanche Simms and Martha Hunt; parents, Harrison and Sarah Pierce; a number of other family members.
Visitation will place at Spencer’s Funeral Home Chapel at Harbour Breton on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. COVID-19 regulations will be followed.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm at St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church at Harbour Breton with Rev. Bruce Vallis officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Breton.
