Obituary of Vivian Rowena Shaw
Of Windsor Forks, passed away peacefully in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the age of 81. Born on September 9, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Aubrey and Evelyn (Tracey) Schofield.
Vivian was a hard worker, from picking corn in the fields with her best friend, Juanita, to milking cows when she was eight months pregnant, to looking after her kids and grandkids. She and David enjoyed traveling with family and friends all over the Atlantic Provinces.
She is survived by her son, David (Julie) Shaw; daughters, Darlene McRoberts and Evelyn Caldwell; grandchildren, Jeremy McRoberts, Douglas Kelley, Cory Kelley, Ashley Swinamer, Danielle Trenholm and Chris Kelley; as well as several great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Vivian was predeceased by her husband, David; a son in infancy; grandson, Patrick Shaw and all of her siblings.
Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). There will be no visitation by request. A private graveside service will be held in Centre Falmouth Cemetery, 155 Town Road, Falmouth, Rev. Bill Gibson officiating. Proof of COVID 19 double vaccination and ID must be produced upon arrival, masks must be worn and physical distancing must be respected. Donations in memory of Vivian may be made to Hants Community Hospital Foundation, 89 Payzant Drive, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 or Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, 112-2719 Gladstone St, Halifax, NS B3K 4W6.
