Vivian Janet Pletz May 26th 2021

Vivian Janet Pletz (nee Oshanek), late of Sandy Beach, Katepwa Lake, Saskatchewan, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the age of 85. She will be missed by her loving husband Elmer of 61 years; children Donna (Greg), David (Jamie), Robert (Catherine) and Warren (Wendy); grandchildren Morgan, Graeme, Emily, Ben, Logan and Jenny; her sister Irene (Delmer); and her brother Leonard (Francis).
A passionate teacher, Vivian began her career at a one-room school named Heavyland School located near the farm of her future husband Elmer. Over the course of her career, she taught many subjects to many grades and had a special gift of teaching music. Vivian was an active member of the Sacred Heart Parish in Lebret, SK and Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church in Fort Qu’Appelle, SK. All of her life, she contributed countless hours to her community by supporting many organizations and leading initiatives that continue to be enjoyed by people today.
Vivian loved her family above all and she had many passions as well. Golfing, gardening, fishing, visiting and entertaining friends were just a few of her loves. She shared her talents and gifts generously with many and will be dearly missed.
In spite of challenging health conditions for several years, Vivian always managed to defy the odds and keep her positive outlook going. She lived her life to the fullest. The family extends a special thank you to the amazing home care and palliative care staff who helped with her care over these last number of years. A service will be planned for a later date.
