Virginia Ruth Hutt Drover 2021

Virginia Ruth Drover (Hutt), 88, of Halifax passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.
Born on Big Tancook Island in 1932, she was the only daughter of the late Denzil and Amanda (Cross) Hutt.
She is survived by her brother, Gordon Hutt, Louisbourg and was predeceased by brothers, Peter, Lloyd, Bob and Murray.
Virginia was married to the late Thomas A. Drover of Dartmouth. They had four children, Tom Drover (Kathy), Digby, Sharon King, Bedford, Dana Drover (Pauline), Dartmouth and Lisa Morrison (Scott), Oromocto, NB. She also had three grandchildren, Nick and Scott Drover and Ely Morrison.
Small in stature but with a very big heart, she was loved by all who met her. Her wicked sense of humour was infectious and she was always ready with a joke, told with a twinkle in her eye. She was a fierce competitor in cards, Yahtzee, crib and many other games that she loved to play.
For the last seven years, Mom lived at Melville Gardens in Halifax. While there, she enjoyed going to bingo, attending church service and would always strike a pose for a picture at their various events. Many thanks to the staff at Melville for taking such great care of her.
She is now at peace and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Friday, October 1 from 12-2 p.m. followed by a graveside service in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Emily Duggan officiating.
Memorials may be made to the United Church in Louisbourg.
