Violet Gertrude Anderson
Violet was born on October 27th, 1928 and passed away on October 29th, 2021 at the age of 93.
Violet grew up on a farm in the Grass River area and later married her husband, Gordon Anderson, in 1950. They settled in Gladstone Manitoba where they raised 3 children together until Gordon’s passing in 1968. Violet continued to raise her family while working for Seven Regions in both the Hospital and the Third Crossing Manner until her retirement in 1990. Family meant everything to Violet, her first and foremost pride and joy. She lovingly cared for her children, her grandson, and her great-grandchildren. Violet had many hobbies and talents, she spent her time knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking, canning and tending to her many gardens and flowerbeds.
Violet is predeceased by her husband Gordon Anderson, her daughter Carol Tower, brothers Walter and Arnold Schettler, and sister Ruth McLean.
Violet is survived by her sister Helen (Don) Olson, son Brian Anderson, daughter Sherry (Wes) Wilde; grandchildren Richard Tower, Greg Wilde, Tracy (Fraser) Miller; great-grandchildren Karmelle (Brett) Morrow, Sydney Tower (Mike), Jesse Tower (Sienna); and great-great grandchildren Peyton Morrow, Kayleigh Tower, and Jaxon Morrow.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
