At midnight on December 27th 2021, at the age of 35, Victoria Rose Johnson passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones, after a valiant battle with cancer. She was strong-willed and always remained positive as best she could, and she will always shine brightly in the memories of everyone who knew her.
She was born to Laurie and Ken Johnson in Barrie, Ontario, where she grew up alongside her older sister Crystal. In 2011, Victoria met her beloved partner Eric in Windsor, Ontario. Together they raised 3 Miniature Australian Shepherds: Vera, Magic, and Sylphrena (Silly), who was one of Magic’s pups. Sylphrena’s five siblings went to loving homes that are still happily reporting benefits from the meticulous research and care that Victoria put into their upbringing. Raising and training these dogs was her passion, and she created Center Stage Canines as a way to engage more fully with the dog sport community and with others who share her passion. She always strived to enjoy life to its fullest, greatly appreciating her friends, all animals, and any creative endeavours that caught her attention. She was a thoughtful and caring person, friendly and cheerful and with a brilliantly sharp wit, and she will be missed immensely.
Victoria will be cremated and there will be no funeral held, as per her wishes. The family will have a Celebration of Life for Victoria at a future time, when such a gathering would be more comfortable for all who wish to attend. The family is thankful for the love and support that has been extended during this difficult time.
