Victor Sederberg
1923 – 2021
Mr. Victor Clifford Sederberg, beloved husband to Dorothy (nee Gurney), passed away at the Good Samaritan Society Southridge Village on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at the age of 98 years. Along with Dorothy, his loving wife of 60 years, Victor leaves to cherish his memory: two children, Bruce (Shauna) and their children, Lauryn (Brett) Salzl, Clancy (Sarah), Olivia (Layne Woods), Ali Payze, Danika (Greyson Kleckner) Mattson; Joyce (Darwin) Stuber and their children, Austin and Wyatt; five great-grandchildren, Rosalind and Rowan Salzl, Josie Sederberg, River and Finley Payze; one sister, Doris Smith as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents as well as five siblings, Ruth Bruins, Nancy Odegard, Lloyd Sederberg, Hildur Babe and Lorraine Voeller. Victor was born on the family farm to proud parents, Carl and Ragna Sederberg. His parents immigrated to Canada and homesteaded in 1910 North of Seven Persons. He received his education at the Amos School. Victor farmed the family homestead his entire life and received the Centennial; Farm Award in 2010. Farming was his passion; Vic was proud of raising Hereford cattle and liked to attend cattle sales at the MHFC. In semi-retirement, Dorothy and Vic spent their summers at their cabin in Ashley Lake, MT. Then, in retirement they became snowbirds for twenty-plus years until he was 95 years old. The family wish to thank all the staff at the Good Samaritan’s for their loving care. A Private interment will take place. If friends so desire, memorial donations in Vic’s name may be made directly with HALO, 12 – 49 Viscount Avenue S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 7W5.
