REIMER, Victor (Vic) Carl –
After eight years of living with cancer, Victor passed away peacefully at home on March 26, 2021 at the age of 73. Born in Kitchener, Ontario on February 25, 1948, he resided in Guelph, Ontario since 1979. He is the third son of John and Helen (nee Rempel). He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Donna (nee Beare) and their two children, Jacob and Rebecca (Sasha), his brother John and wife Linda of Omaha, Nebraska, and brother Eddie of Chiang Mai, Thailand. Also surviving Victor are his nieces and nephews.
Vic was the Associate Vice-President, Human Resources, at the University of Guelph, retiring in 2006 after 25 years of service. He received his B.A. and M.Sc. from the University of Guelph and undertook graduate studies at Simon Fraser University. Vic played hockey with the Guelph Goodtimers and was a member of the Springfield Golf Club. During his retirement he volunteered his services to various relief and charity organizations.
A private family gathering celebrating his life has taken place. Friends may choose to donate to a local or international relief fund of their choice in his memory.
