Vernon Waye 2021

Vernon Waye of Florenceville, NB and formerly of Trout Brook, NB , husband of Arlene Waye (Norton) passed away on March 23, 2021 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB at the age of 81. Born on June 24, 1939 in Newcastle, NB he was the son of the late Hiram & Hazel (Phair) Waye.
Vernon is survived by daughters Kimberly Devillier (Doug) of Louisiana, Jill Saunders (Andy) and son, Hiram (Shianne) both of Florenceville, NB; Sister, Mabel (Sherman) Ashton of Miramichi; Sister-in-Law, Regina of Montreal; 5 Grandchildren, Hannah, Matthew, Benjamin, Carson, and Lily.
Besides his parents Vernon was predeceased by his brother Charles and niece Donna.
Vernon was employed at Heath Steele Mines for 32 years. After retirement he worked cutting on his woodlot which he loved to do. He was a former member of Sunny Corner Lions Club and Senior Club, also a former member of the Wesley United Church. He has been a member of Faith Memorial United Church in Florenceville since 2004.
A private family service will be held in the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. For those who wish, the funeral will be live streamed on the L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors Facebook page on Monday, March 29th, 2021 at 10:00 am. Rev. Susan Estabrooks will be officiating. Interment will take place in the Wesley United Cemetery in Trout Brook, NB at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations made to Wesley United Church, Trout Brook Cemetery, Faith Memorial United Church or donor’s choice would be appreciated. www.gibersonfuneraldirectors.ca (506)392-1115
