Vernell Anne (Story) Beebe 59, passed away on September 16th, 2021, at St. Paul’s hospital, Saskatoon SK after three years of declining health. Vernell is predeceased by her parents Anne and William Story, her uncle Creston Joseph Story and her ex-husband Richard Beebe. She is survived by her long-time friend and caregiver, George Flett.
Vernell was born March 31st, 1962, in Spiritwood growing up on a farm close to nature where she developed a true love of animals. Vernell completed a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Regina on October 21st 2000. However, if asked, her greatest accomplishment was raising her children. Vernell is lovingly remembered by her four children, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Roxanne (Micheal Scott): Nicholas, Cassandra; Virginia (Rob Harlingten): Jada, Emery; Jalynn (Matthew Brown): Autumn, and Easton; Tyler (Jessie Bryngelson): Jackson, Elizabeth, Connor, Susie-Lynn, Madison, and Emma. Vernell’s great grandchildren: Koda, Rosamond, and Kayl (Jada and Julian Bird’s children). Lovingly survived by her siblings Debbie (Daniel Laventure), Kevin Story (Darlene Nash), Patricia (Vance McEwen), Edith (Greg Johnstone) and William Story along with numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She will be missed by many close friends and those who not only looked to her for guidance but for inspiration to be themselves.
Due to the increase of Covid-19 cases a memorial service will be held at a later date. Feel free to share condolences, thoughts, and memories here for others to enjoy learning about Vernell and to celebrate her life. Thank you.
