Verna Whaling 2021

WHALING
Verna Christine Whaling, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital, on Monday, October 18, 2021. She was 89.
Born on June 16, 1932, in Hanover, Ontario, to the late Howard and Susie (nee Greenwood) Kerr. Verna was a kind and loving lady, providing compassionate care to many people when she worked as an RNA in nursing homes during her career. But family always came first, and Verna and her late husband Louis, were very proud of their family. Verna especially loved spending quality time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survived by children Raymond (Debbie) of Dorchester, Ron (Carol) of Chatham, Donna (Don) Kroetsch of Hanover, Dennis (Linda) of Zurich, Judy Whaling of Hanover, Kevon (Sharon) of Walkerton, Linda (Tim) Dunbar of Hanover, Paul of London and Bryan (Vernice) of Hanover; Special granddaughter Krista (Kevin) Meyer of Normanby; 20 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by siblings Don Kerr, Larry (Marg) Kerr, and Karen Waechter all of Hanover, Elaine Kerr of Holland Centre, and sister-in-law Marg Kerr of Hanover. Predeceased by her husband Louis, son Dale Whaling, and brothers Gary and Murray Kerr.
A Private Family Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Rev. Michael Rundle officiating. Cremation will follow, with inurnment in Hanover Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial donations to the Hanover and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mightonfuneralhome.ca
