Verna Bennett nee Martin September 12 1939 to September 30 2021

Verna Bennett (nee Martin) age 82 of St. John’s, passed peacefully away, Thursday, September 30th, 2021.
Predeceased by her loving husband Frank, parents Blanche and William Martin, mother-in-law Mary Bennett, sister Joyce Snow, brothers Ambrose and Bill Martin.
Left with loving memories are her daughter Penny George, son-in-law Ken, grandson Colin, granddaughters Tiffanie George (Sean Bradley) and Ashley Crier, great-grandchildren Samuel, Kaleb and Hudson Crier.
Verna is also survived by her best friend and sister, Rowena Sharpe, sisters-in-law Nina Martin-Sheppard, Joan Crouse, Agatha Bannon, Donna Johnson (Jim), brothers-in-law Richard Bennett (Mary), Don Bennett, Ed Tricco as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who are too numerous to mention but whom she loved dearly.
Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, Freshwater Rd on Sunday, October 3, 2021, from 10am-2pm and 4pm-9pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 2pm from the Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, with interment to take place at the Anglican Cemetery on Forest Rd. Funeral service will be live streamed on the Cathedral’s website at www.facebook.com/anglcathstj.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
