Verna passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at McKinney Place in Oliver, BC with her daughter Karen and niece Holly by her side. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Tai Chi club in Calgary, Evergreen Seniors hiking club and enjoyed many years of winters in Hawaii.
