Vera Kathleen “Kay” Gaffney (McLaughlin)
The family announces her peaceful passing at the Timmins District Hospital on Sunday, March 21, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Ed Gaffney and loving mother of Deanna Blain (Chris) of South Porcupine and Jennifer Krumins (Ivars) of Peterborough. Dear grandmother of Danielle Roy (Randy); Nicole Zuliani (Brennan) and Jared Zuliani (Danic); and Karli, Kieran and Kaiya Krumins. Cherished great-grandmother of Hannah Roy. Dear sister of Doris Burt (Lawrence) of St. Albert Alta; George McLaughlin (Dovie) of Lakefield and the late Clare McLaughlin (Eleanor of Napanee). Favourite sister-in-law of Cy Gaffney (late Rita) of Pembroke.
She is predeceased by her parents Donald and Vera McLaughlin, and her sisters and brothers-in-law; Gwen Donohue (PJ); Raymond (Pat) Gaffney; Jerry; Gracia Howard (Jim) and Gus Gaffney (Helen).
The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Carr, Dr. Griffiths and Dr. Kvas and the nurses and Hospital staff. Your acts of kindness, care and compassion will not go unnoticed.
The funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and further details will follow. Inurnment will take place this summer at the Assumption Cemetery Columbarium in Erinsville, ON. Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
