1938-2021
It is with great sadness the family of Velma Morin announce
her passing at the Charlotte County Hospital, St Stephen, NB. on
Wednesday February 17, 2021.
Born in 1938, daughter of the late Andre and Lottie
Morin.
In 1954 she began her service for God. At the tender age of
17 she joined the Secular Institute of the Oblate Missionaries of Mary
Immaculate. She served in Alberta and Trois-Rivières until
her return home in 1979.
She devoted her entire life serving God through her parish
community and helping those in need by using her many talents in
various capacities. Velma will also be fondly remembered as an
extraordinary seamstress and quilter.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three
brothers: Guilmond, Gerard and Benoit, one sister, Diane
McCutcheon.
She leaves behind four sisters: Rina Swiderski (Bill) of Cold
Lake, AB., Therese Trafton (Errol) of Baring Maine, Murielle Smith
(Paul) of Calgary, AB., and Vivian McLeod (Ken) of Ledge Road, NB.,
and several nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 regulations, a private funeral service will
be held. Family and friends are invited to view a livestream of the
service on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 11 AM.

Interment at Milltown Catholic Cemetery, Barter Settlement,
NB at a later date.
For those who wish, donations in memory of Velma may be made
to the Heart & Stroke foundation or a charity of
one’s choice. Condolences may be sent to the family online
