Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Valerie Rose Blair (Jeal) on September 20th, 2021, at the age of 78. She is predeceased by her loving husband Kenneth John Teasdale Blair. She leaves behind with much sorrow her daughters, Alison (Trevor), Vanessa, and Estelle (Alonzo), as well as her eight grandchildren, Justin, Tyler (Ashlee), Chelsea (Tanner), Kaitlyn (Mark), Jenessa (Mathew), Courtney, Elyssa & Dylan (Katie), and along with her adoring great grandchildren, Nixon, Cassandra, Bentley, Braedon and Everley. She will be greatly missed by her brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Brenda Blair of England, her nephews and niece Paul of Thailand, Elliot of England, and Debra of England, her dearest friends Jasmine and Gerry St. Laurent of Winnipeg and many others she has touched throughout her life. She is predeceased by her parents, Rose and Richard Jeal of England, Mother and Father-in-law Lillian and Stanley Blair of England, and her nephews Andrew Paradise and Julian Blair. She was born in England in 1943 and together with her husband brought their family to Canada in 1970 to settle in Calgary, Alberta and a short time later moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba. In 1991 they moved to Surrey, BC then to Peachland, BC to start their retirement years. She enjoyed travelling, quilting, pottery, and loved spending time with her beloved dog Tia. Our sincerest thank you to her friends Claire and John Smith, and Phyllis and Marvin O’Connell who were amazing friends and support through the years to both herself and her daughters. Many thanks to Hospice House Kelowna who showed her compassion and comfort in her final days.

Service will be October 16th at 11am, at Providence Funeral Chapel, Summerland, BC. Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be a limited capacity.
