Una Marie (Kearley) Delaney passed away peacefully at the Carbonear General Hospital on November 2, 2021. She is predeceased by her parents Ada(Boone) and Edward Kearley.
She is survived by Raymond, her husband of 58 years, children Sheree and Paul(Joanne) and grandchildren Connor and Colby. She is also survived by her sisters Judy Bickford and Marjorie Perreault, sisters-in-law Helen Stone, Helen Delaney and Marie Dicks, step sister Shirley Harris, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Una was born on Bell Island in 1938 and moved with Ray to Labrador City in 1964. She and Ray moved to Hant’s Harbour in 1992 where they enjoyed retirement and made many new friends especially at the Seaside Seniors Club, Hant’s Harbour. In 2019, Ray and Una moved to the Bay Roberts Retirement Centre.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bay Robert’s Retirement Centre for their care over the last two years and the nurses on the 6th floor of the Carbonear General Hospital. No funeral or memorial services will be held as per Una’s wishes. Her ashes will be laid to rest at St Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, Bell Island. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Greens Funeral Home, Winterton.
