Trevor Green Sunday May 23rd 2021

Trevor William Green
August 7th 1960 – May 23rd 2021
After a long and hard fought battle with cancer, Trevor passed away peacefully on May 23rd,
2021 at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital, with family by his side. He will be deeply
missed by his wife & “Little Angel”, Hilary (Distin-OʼConnor), his children Shawn and Chantal
(Adam Perks) Green, his step sons Andrew and Cameron OʼConnor, his sister Shirley (David
Matthews), his brother David (Rhonda) Green, his most recent pride and joy, grandson Basil Perks
and family in Canada and Ireland.
Trevor was predeceased by his parents William and Sheila Green. Born in Dungannon Ireland,
Trevor moved with his family to Canada where he made life long friendships that meant the world
to him.
Throughout his 40 year career, Trevorʼs colleagues also became his close friends.
He had a love for music, travel, family and friends.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Krempowich for her exemplary and compassionate care, nurse
Kim from St. Elizabeth, as well all the doctors, nurses, and staff on the medical floor at CGMH.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. (TBA) In lieu of flowers, donations to The
Canadian Cancer Society or the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital would be greatly
appreciated.
He smiled to the end, a true fighting Irish. That smile will be sorely missed by all.
Nothing Gold Can Stay
Natureʼs first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leafʼs a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down today.
Nothing gold can stay.
