My deepest condolences to you and family at this sad time. Harry and I were old friends and colleagues. We went back a long way. We started teaching together at Delta and retired from thw same Principal’s group the same year. We laughed together about our first trip to the Bahamas and travelling to see the Supremes in concert. We double dated. We even lived on the same street when we were both first married. We met for drinks at our annual conferences and shared some joys and challenges witht the job. Sadly, time, distance, and family responsibiilities drew us apart but Harry was always well thought of among his colleagues. He made a difference and he will be missed. Very sad to hear of his passing.

AL RomakerMy condolences to the Traini family on the loss of Harry. As a student of his math class at Delta Secondary in Hamilton in Grade 9 in 1971 – 72, he left a lasting impression on me with his patience with us as a bewildered, overwhelmed class of young teenagers, yet showing us respect by calling all of us by mister or miss and then our last names.
As a shy teenager, I remember him seating me behind a rather “talkative” fellow male student. By the new year, that project failed as my outgoing personality started to emerge, causing obvious dismay to Harry. Lol
Regardless, it was all good as Harry took it in stride.
God bless you Mr. Traini!
Sylvia and Pat LennonSo many wonderful tributes to Harry and all true…He was a respected principal at Sherwood High School with a quiet effective style.
Many memories also of our fledgling years as Delta teachers. Pat and I are saddened by your loss Lynda, Christopher and Tina…and yes, Rest In Peace dear “Mr. Traini”…!!
Love, Sylvia and Pat Lennon
Lisa NealeMy condolences to the Traini family. Mr. Traini was my grade 11 math teacher at SAM many years ago. He was a very kind and patient teacher who was always there to help. He was an excellent teacher who never gave up on me, a hesitant math student. He had a gentle manner and I always looked forward to going to his class. A few years ago, I found a picture of Mr. Traini and I in the courtyard during Grade 12 Graduation at SAM. His wonderful warm smile says it all. What a gentleman and a wonderful educator. RIP Mr. Traini.
