Obituary of Tracy Lynn Dunphy
DUNPHY, Tracy Lynn – age 49 of Halifax passed away peacefully on March 31, 2021 in the QEII Health Sciences Centre VG Site, Halifax. Born in Petawawa, Ontario, she was a daughter of Jean Dunphy (Carl Hicks) and the late Leonard Dunphy.
“Aww snap… if you are reading this it means I have finally passed”.
After a seven year struggle with ovarian cancer we have lost the war. Throughout her battle, Tracy remained positive as a testament to her sunny personality. Everyone referred to her as “Little Miss Sunshine”. She was a devoted mother who took pride in the accomplishments of her children. She will be greatly missed as a daughter, sister, friend and mother. The world lost a wonderful personality and heaven gained an angel.
Besides her mother, Tracy is survived by her children, Emilie (Tyler) and Patrick; sister, Trudy; brother, Terry; nephew, Greg (Melissa); nieces, Shyanna (Spencer) and Sydney (Jazzlyn); a large extended family, including those in Newfoundland and throughout Canada and also her Scotiabank family.
Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held 2-4pm Wednesday, April 7 in Ettinger Funeral Home 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. COVID – 19 provincial regulations apply; masks are required to be worn. Social distancing guidelines must be adhered to.
Donations in Tracy’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
