Obituary of Tony Buccione
It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of our dear father, after a lengthy illness at home, on May 18, 2021 in his 81st year.
Predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years Verna (2019).
He will be deeply missed by his daughters Amanda (Greg) St. Laurent and Becky (Kevin) McCamley. Cherished “Pop” and “Peep” of Monica, Mason, Charlie and Eva. He will be forever missed by his sisters Mary (Randy) Pate and Sandra (Chris) Summerhayes, his family in Italy, his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, as well as his Grand Doggies Leggy and Gracie.
Tony came to Canada from Italy in 1952, settling in Port Colborne. Tony loved travelling with Verna and friends, listening to music, attending car shows and driving his beloved Miata and motorcycle. He loved to cook and enjoyed spending time working in his garden or workshop. He was always willing to help family, friends and neighbours.
Tony was a proud and longtime employee of E.S. Fox, where he worked as a Sheet Metal Worker retiring 20 years ago after 44 years of service.
The family extends sincere thanks to the LHIN, the Palliative Care Team and Dr. Mancer of Hospice Niagara, as well as the many Doctors, Nurses and Caregivers for their care and compassion.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place with arrangements entrusted to the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne. Due to current restrictions, there will be a Memorial Service announced at a later date.
If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Toronto Sick Kids Hospital or Hospice Niagara.
