28 octobre 2021
It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing of Tony Sciara (65) of Hamilton, Ontario on Tuesday September 28th, 2021. He died peacefully surrounded by family after complications of a respiratory arrest. Tony is survived by his loving parents Alfonso and Caterina Sciara, his children Alfonso, Catie, and Leo, and his grandchildren, cousins, aunt and uncle. He is predeceased by his brother Francesco Sciara.
He was a spirited man with a sentimental and tender heart that always cherished his family and was willing to do what he believed was right for them. Tony was a jack of all trades who loved to find a creative and thrifty solution to a problem, and loved to teach people how to safely use tools and repair things. He loved movies, stories, and big home cooked meals and shared these traditions with his children. He enjoyed being silly with his grandkids but also conveying reverence for respect and wisdom.
He will be greatly missed by his loving family who know he can now rest, leaving behind many colourful memories and stories.
Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton on Friday October 8th from 10am to 12pm. A funeral service will be held at St Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church at 12:30pm. Burial to follow.
