Cartmell, Timothy P. “Tim” Retired Warrant Officer – RCHA
Tim passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, November 29, 2021 at the age of 62. Loving brother of Michael Cartmell, Colleen and her husband Rick Elgie and the late David Cartmell. Dear brother-in-law of Marianne and her husband Earl Guthrie. He is the most favourite “UNCLE TIMMY” to his nieces and nephews, Jason, Kristopher, Kaitlyn, Amanda, Sarah, Chad and their families. Son of the late Francis Paul and Mary Anne Cartmell. Tim proudly served The Guns 3RCHA as well as U BTY 3 RCHA, 119 AD BTY, 128 AAD BTY, Air Defence Artillery School as well as serving time in Cyprus. Tim was a dedicated soldier and good friend to many. Following his retirement from the military, Tim was employed with the City of Kitchener in various capacities, eventually retiring as a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer.
Tim’s family will receive relatives and friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener. Please note that if you plan to attend, masks are mandatory and you must RSVP your attendance through the funeral home website or by calling (519) 749-8467. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Wounded Warriors of Canada or your local Royal Canadian Legion would be appreciated (cards available at the funeral home).
