Obituary for
Tiff (Tiffany) Izsa
Izsa, Tiff (Tiffany) – It is with great sadness that we share the death of Tiff Izsa on March 26, 2021 following a brave battle with cancer. Tiff will be forever loved by her parents George and Shirley Izsa, her sister Tara Miklavcic and brother-in-law Tony Miklavcic, nephews Cayden Whitaker and Ryker Miklavcic, grandmother Helen Dunn, Aunts Cathy (Belisle) and Susan (Burrow), great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends from all over the world.
Tiff was a Taurus born April 30, 1979 in Welland, Ontario. After graduating from E.L. Crossley (winner of the Pelham Art Council Award), Tiff attended the Ontario College of Art and Design, studying sculpture installation and criticism and curatorial practice. Tiff graduated in 2003 with a one-year travelling scholarship and later that same year received the Toronto Steam Whistle, Emerging Artist of the Year Award. Tiff applied the travelling scholarship she received from OCAD to graduate studies at the art academy Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf. She exhibited with Galerie Andreas Brüning, organized exhibitions, events and performances in Reinraum e.V. and subsequently managed the clubs, the Foyer and Golzheim. Tiff returned to Canada in 2018 to pursue a broadcast radio career.
Tiff was an incredible person, fun, fearless, lived life on her own terms, pursued her dreams, travelled the world with her beloved dachshund Salami and had no regrets at the end.
We will miss her forever!
In adherence with Covid restrictions, a private funeral service will take place April 1, 2021 at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home in Welland; a Celebration of Life will be planned later.
As per Tiff’s wishes, donations can be made to The Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund.
