Thomas Tommy Smyth March 31 1932 September 10 2021

Passed away on September 10, 2021, at Saanich Peninsula Hospital, Vancouver Island. Tommy was born on March 31, 1932 in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, the youngest and last surviving of the eight children of David and Margaret Smyth.
Having moved from Ballymena to Bristol, England in 1952, he married his wife Violet there in 1956.
He left school at the age of fourteen and was an engineer for most of his working life. He was a keen football fan and a supporter of Manchester United.
In 2012 Tommy and Violet emigrated from England to Vancouver Island, Canada. Tommy is survived by his wife of 65 years Violet, sons Martyn, Russell and Adrian in England, and son Colin in Canada, along with ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
