Thomas George “Tom”
Quigley – 80, Great
Village, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, November 25,
2021, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in
Inverness, he was a son of the late Thomas and Euphemia (MacLean)
Quigley.
Tom loved playing the guitar and was part of the band,
“The Jades”, in his younger years in Ontario. He owned and
operated Old Tyme Deli and Quigley’s Quik Way in Truro for a
number of years. He looked forward to Sunday night band sessions with
his dear buddies.
Tom is survived by his common-law wife, Mary Gerdson;
children, Patty (Jeff) Harrison, Kellie Quigley (Mathew Conley);
sister, Linda (Gary) Lynds; step-sons, Jason (Kim) Gerdson, Billy
Gerdson; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and
nephews; special friends, Marshall, Peter.
Along with his parents, Tom was predeceased by his wife,
Helen (MacDonald); sisters, Jessie, Jemima; brothers, William
(Ainslie), John W. Quigley.
Special thanks are extended to the nurses and doctors of
Palliative Care Unit at Colchester East Hants Health Centre for your
exceptional care.
Graveside service will be held in spring 2022 at Bible Hill
Cemetery, 41 Warren Drive, Bible Hill. If so desired, donations in
Tom’s memory to Palliative Care Unit (CEHHC) are
welcomed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
