Thomas Cail
1939-2021
GALLOWAY, NB – It is with great sadness that the
family announces the peaceful passing of Thomas Cail, 82, of Galloway,
at the Stella Maris Hospital on Monday, November
22nd, 2021. Born in Pine Ridge, he was the son
of the late William and Muriel (Sinton) Cail. Before retiring, Thomas
was self employed as a truck driver and was a jack of all
trades.
Thomas leaves to mourn his four daughters, Cathy Vautour
(Raymond) of Rexton, Shelly Clow (Lorne) of Stratford, PE, Angela
LeBlanc of Hazelbrook, PE and Karen Hicks (David) of McKees Mills; two
sons, Bruce Cail (Veronica) of Jardineville and Kevin Cail (Lynne) of
Bells Mills; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; as well as
his best friend and partner, Mary Ronan and all of her
family.
Thomas will also be sadly missed by his sister, Leona Smith
of Moncton; three brothers, Ralph Cail (Thelma) of Riverview, Charlie
Cail (Linda) of Moncton and Cecil Cail (Verna) of Pine Ridge;
brother-in-law, Arnold; as well as by his many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, Thomas was predeceased by his wife,
Audrey (Murphy); his grandson, Michael LeBlanc; two sisters, Edith
Morton and Arlene Godsoe; and two brothers, Albert and Elmer
Cail.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private
family service (by invite only) will be celebrated on Friday, November
26th, 2021 at 11:00am, Thompson’s
Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto with Pastor Raymond Vautour
officiating. The funeral service will be live streamed via the
Thompson’s Funeral Home Facebook group for anyone unable to
attend. In lieu of flowers, donations made to a charity of the
donor’s choice in memory of Thomas would be
appreciated.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the
doctors and staff at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne-de-Kent for
the excellent care provided to Thomas.
Following provincial COVID-19 regulations, visitors will be
required to provide proof of double COVID-19 vaccination and
government issued ID at the funeral home, masks are mandatory and we
ask that social distancing is respected.
