Therese Gagne Saturday August 21st 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa (Terry) GAGNÉ. She died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 87 on August 21, 2021. Cherished wife of Robert (Bob) for 69 years and loving mother of Diane (Ron Leonard), Jo-Anne (Jean-Roch St-Laurent), Richard (Barbara Donahue), Carolle (Tony Lavryssen) and Linda (Alain Léonard). Terry (Mémère) will also be sadly missed by her extended family (7 grandchildren: Chantal, David, Tyler, Jolyane, Andrew, Bobby & Bryanna) and 7 great grandchildren: Byron, Camryn, Corey, Félix, Xavier, Emma & Annika) and many friends (in particular George and Shirley White). She is survived by her sister Georgette Bérard. Predeceased by her brothers Stanley Jr. (Buddy) and Gerald and by her parents Evelyne Proulx and Stanley Scharfe. She will be remembered as a funny lady, loved to dance and have fun at parties, feisty, loved her family and her pets (especially Dee-Dee), she always enjoyed a good bingo game (including her MANY bingo scratch tickets), vanilla wafer cookies, ½ moon cakes, strawberry ice-cream and her iced-caps! Her family wishes to thank the medical staff and employees at the Willowbend Retirement Residence (Orleans) for their care and support.
Celebration of life will be held on August 30, 2021 at Hulse and Playfair, 1200 Ogilvie Road. Visitations at 10:00 and ceremony at 11:00, followed by a light lunch at the Knights of Columbus at 1172 Cummings Avenue, Ottawa.
