Mme Thérèse Blouin
(née Filion)
le 7 juin 1938 – le 5 septembre 2021
C’est avec grande tristesse que la famille annonce le décès inattendu de Thérèse Blouin, le 5 septembre 2021, à l’âge de 83 ans, à l’hôpital commémoratif de Cambridge.
Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Doris (Roger Harrison) de Timmins et Gilles (Ana Fernandez) de Cambridge; ses trois petits-enfants adorés Patrick Harrison (Mylène Desbiens), Mariana et Philippe Blouin.
Elle laisse aussi dans le deuil ses frères et sa sœur: Réal (Yolande), Lionel (Dorlyn), Rosaire (Murielle), Claudette et plusieurs nièces, neveux et amis.
Thérèse est allée rejoindre son époux Raynald, ses parents Arthur et Lydia (née Mailloux) Filion et ainsi que ses frères et sœurs Rosaire, Cécile Lepage (Benoit), René (Rachel), Aimé (Jeanette), Fernande Albert (feu Philippe), Paul-Arthur (feu Laurette), Roland (Olive), Aurèle et Léon.
Thérèse était une femme de foi qui prenait plaisir à égayer la vie de ses proches. Sa générosité et sa volonté d’aider faisaient en sorte qu’elle priorisait souvent les besoins des autres avant les siens. Elle tenait à rester en communication avec ses petits-enfants et se réjouissait de célébrer leurs accomplissements. Thérèse aimait son temps entre la paroisse et l’hôpital où elle faisait du bénévolat ainsi qu’à la mise en oeuvre de ses grands talents dans son jardin, dans sa cuisine et devant son moulin à coudre.
La famille accueillera parents et amis au sous-sol de la Paroisse Ste Gertrude, vendredi le 10 septembre à partir de 19 à 21h et aussi samedi le 11 septembre à partir de 9h30 jusqu’à 10h30. En raison de la pandémie, les visites auront lieu par rotation afin de respecter les consignes de santé publique.
Les funérailles auront lieu à l’Église Ste Gertrude de Smooth Rock Falls le 11 septembre 2021 à 11h. La limite autorisée dans l’église est de 90 personnes maximum. ***Les règles du Covid doivent être respectées**
Les dons commémoratifs à la fondation de l’hôpital de Smooth Rock Falls ou à la Paroisse Ste Gertrude seraient grandement appréciés.

It is with great sadness that the family share with you her sudden passing on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital at the age of 83. She leaves behind her daughter Doris (Roger) Harrison of Timmins, her son Gilles (Ana Fernandez) of Cambridge and her cherished grandchildren Patrick Harrison (Mylène Desbiens), Mariana and Philippe Blouin.
Thérèse also leaves in behind her siblings Réal (Yolande), Lionel (Dorlyn), Rosaire (Murielle), Claudette, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Predeceased by her husband Raynald Blouin, her parents Arthur and Lydia (nee Mailloux) Filion and her siblings Rosaire, Cécile Lepage (Benoit), René (Rachel), Aimé (Jeanette), Fernande Albert (late Philippe), Paul-Arthur (late Laurette), Roland (Olive), Aurèle and Léon.
Thérèse was a woman of faith who took pleasure in brightening the lives of those close to her. Her generosity and willingness to help meant that she often prioritized the needs of others over her own. She was keen to stay in touch with her grandchildren and looked forward to celebrating their accomplishments. Thérèse enjoyed dividing her time between the parish and the hospital where she volunteered as well as using her great talents in her garden, in her kitchen and her sewing.
Visitation will be held at the Smooth Rock Falls Parish Hall on Friday, September10, 2021 from 7 pm to 9 pm and on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Due to the pandemic, visits will take place in rotation in order to respect public health instructions.
A Funeral Mass will be held at the Ste-Gertrude Church on Saturday September 4th, 2021 at 11 am. The limit authorized in the church is maximum 90 people.
