Obituary of Theresa Smith
It is with great sadness that the family of Theresa (Curran) Smith announces her passing which occurred on Wednesday, November 25, 2021, at Ridgewood’s Veterans Wing. Born in Saint John on May 23, 1920, she was a daughter of the late William and Effie (Amelia) Curran.
Theresa is survived by her daughter, Terry Lee; grandchildren, Nick (Sarah), Amanda (Peter), Andrew (Jessica), Krista and Colin; great-grandchildren, Emilia, Aidan, Keegan, Landan, Henry, Noah; niece, Linda (Glen); brother-in-law, Lloyd Smith (Germaine); as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Maurice, her brothers, sisters, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Ridgewood. The care staff at Ridgewood and how amazing they were especially Victory Lane, The Brat and her side kick they know who they are!
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A Funeral Liturgy will take place on Monday, November 29, 2021, at 2:00 PM in the Brenan’s Chapel. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Due to Covid-19 health measures placed on indoor gatherings by the Government of New Brunswick, all those 12 and older attending the visitation or service will be required to show proof of vaccination and a piece of a government-issued ID or proof of medical exemption. Interment will follow the service in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Theresa may be made to The KV Food Bank, the IWK, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
