RIZZO – Theresa
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our mother, Theresa Rizzo, in her 84th year. She has found peace claiming her eternal place in heaven alongside her late husband Samuel Rizzo. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Nick (Susan), Rick (Suzy), Kelly (Rob), Tracy (Frank), Michele (Tim), Tina (Gene); grandchildren: Danielle, Andrea, Nickolas (Melanie), Devon (Rob), Taylor (Justin), Patrick (Emily), Jaime, Micheal (Holly), Bailey, Brittany (Geoff), T.J. (Jessica), Patrick (Kaitlyn), Rick and Sam; great-grandchildren: Nathan, Zachary, Connor, Owen, Teagan, Tenley, Tatum and Quinn; brother David Montcalm. Theresa will be dearly missed by many friends within Brantford and afar. Theresa was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario in 1938. It was there where she met the love her life Sam Rizzo while working in a local candy shop. Theresa and Sam were married in 1958 and moved to Brantford shortly after to begin their life together and raise their family. Theresa was a compassionate, graceful, generous and loving woman. She lived for her family and gave her heart fully to everyone she loved. She will be remembered for her kind heart and gentle nature. Her loss is deeply felt and will be forever etched in our hearts. The Family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the BGH , especially Dr. McNeil, Shelly and the team of nurses and PSW’s on C7. They also wish to thank Tammy, Lynn, Tagen, Sandee, and Adrianna for their support and care they provided. The family will receive friends at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road N. Brantford on Monday from 1-4 and 6-9 pm. Parish prayers and Rosary will be recited at the funeral home Monday at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Basil’s Parish, 50 Palace Street, Brantford on Tuesday at 11am. Entombment to follow, Our Lady Of The Assumption Mausoleum. In keeping with Covid-19 protocol face coverings and social distancing are mandatory. Donations can be made in honour of Theresa to the Sam Rizzo MRI BGH Foundation or Parkinson’s Foundation of Canada.
