It is with great sadness that on October 2, 2021 we announce the passing of our dear mother and beloved wife of the late Leonard (2003). Our mom died peacefully at Leamington Hospice with her adoring children by her side. Cherished mother of Mary Jane Laforet (Maurice), Roger (Brenda), Mariette Howell (Gary), Mike (Cathy), Mark (Bonnie), Claudette Tanner (Paul) and Tony (Christine). She was a loving mémé to 19 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss her love and devotion to each one of them.
She was the daughter of Arthur Wilder and Parmela Desjardins. Close sister to Loretta (late Eugene), Bernard (late Elda), Bernice (late Felix), Corinne (late George), Annette (late Don), and predeceased by siblings Aurel (late Doris), Alice (late Charles), Regina (late Moise), Agnes (late Art), Pauline (late Mike), Beatrice (late Arsenne), Stan (late Josephine), Norman (Rita), Lionel (Rebecca), and Yvonne (late Herman). Sister-in-law to Henriette (late Gord), Maurice (the late Rosemary), Denis (late Sylvia), and predeceased by in-laws Alec (late Shirley), Cecile (late Adrian), Charlie and JoAnne.
Mom was loved by many nieces and nephews. Special friend to the “Poplar Street Gang” Annie, Helen, Margaret, Lois and Jeffery. Our dear mom loved everyone she met!
If you so desire, donations to Hospice Erie Shores would be appreciated by the family.
